My organization uses the Teradata RDBMS (http://www.teradata.com/t/page/156360/index.html) and IBM Rational ClearCase for version control. I'm evaluating a variety of database refactoring and continuous integration solutions and I'm highly interested in integrating dbdeploy into our evolving database change management methodology. In this post you mention that adding support for another database is trivial, so is it possible to add support for the Teradata RDBMS? Does dbdeploy v2.11 support ANSI SQL? Is it possible that the dbdeploy v2.11 will work with the Teradata JDBC driver if I manually create the SchemaVersionTable on Teradata and use the dbms=mysql option? Thanks for sharing the dbdeploy solution with the DBA community!

hey guys, great job. good to hear dbdeploy is still seeing activity.

sorry this is the wrong spot for this comment, but I was hoping to get some feedback and/or partnership with you guys regarding a php port of dbdeploy I've recently completed, and I can't seem to reach you thru any of the standard contact channels.

it's PEAR:DbDeploy and I'll be submitting it for votes from the pear dev list soon.

http://peardbdeploy.sourceforge.net/docs/

please let me know how we might be able to partner up, if at all.

thanks.

[...] dbdeploy database refactoring dbdeploy enables database refactoring, via command line or ant script. By comparing the SQL delta scripts on your filesystem against a patch table in the target database, it generates SQL scripts – it doesn’t directly apply them.
[...] There may of been some mis-communication on my part in previous posts refering to dbdeploy. To clarify, there is currently no support for MySql, however adding support for another database is trivial. It is on our todo list, but if you want to lend a hand, sign up to the mailing lists and drop us a line. [...]
